At the airport you will be picked up by your tour guide. From the airport you travel approx. 70 km to the city of Chapada dos Guimarães. You will get to know the little city Chapada. The city is located 70 km North of Cuiabá and has approx. 16.000 inhabitants. Chapada dos Guimarães is a rocky elevated plain at 836 meters. Canyons, table mountains, caves, rivers and waterfalls are part of this impressing landscape. After the Amazonas territory in the North of federal state Mato Grosso as well as after the Pantanal.Chapada is the third largest eco system in this region. It is worldwide unique. Check-in at Hotel , which is located in the center of Chapada. Subsequently lunch in a local restaurant in Chapada. After lunch (depending on the arrival time at the airport) you drive to the lookout point Mirante, from where you have a beautiful view over the landscape. Mirante is at the same time the geographical center of South America. Following you take a little hiking tour in the table mountains and visit further attractions (rock sculptures, little waterfalls etc.). However, in this area the excursions depend on the short time you have at hand and on the opening hours of the facility. Unfortunately the opening hours change frequently and are therefore not projectable beforehand. In the evening return to Chapada and dinner. Rest of the evening is placed at your disposal.

Before breakfast you visit the biggest waterfall of the region, the well known “Bridal veil”-waterfall („Veu de Noiva“). Lunch at a local restaurant in Chapada. After lunch you take a little hiking tour in the table mountains. Dinner at a local restaurant in Chapada.Overnight stay

After breakfast you travel to Bom Jardim, nearby Nobres (travel time approx. 2 hours). Lunch at the Pousada Reino Encantado. After lunch you visit the unique beauty of this colorful landscape. Subsequently you will be equipped with snorkeling utensils (life vest, goggles, snorkel and fins are being professionally cleaned and sanitized). In the crystal clear spring water you enjoy the underwater world. Fish like the Pintado, Dorado and diverse aquarium fish live in this water basin. After that you snorkel in the river with crystal clear water. In the late afternoon you drive to the Lagoa Azul (around 5.00 p.m.), where hundreds of different bird species are to be found (Yellow Macaw, Hyacinthine Macaw and other parrot species), return to the lodge and dinner.

After breakfast you travel towards Poconé(250 km) and alongside the Transpantaneira to the Pousada . On the way you will have several stops to observe the flora and fauna along the road. Arrival at the lodge for lunch. After lunch you either take a horseback riding tour or a canoe tour on nearby Rio Nova or Rio Claro, in agreement with your tour guide. Return to the lodge and dinner. On your demand, a night safari to trace nocturnal animals takes place. 

You get up around 4:00 a.m. We serve you coffee or tea. Subsequently you travel to Porto Jofre, the end of the Transpantaneira, on an approx. 107 km non asphaltic road. On the way to Porto Jofre you have the possibility to encounter many mammalsad birds. We will have breakfast in form of a picnic. After the picnic we start on a 5 hour boat tour (simple boats) deeply into the Cerrado. Amidst unaffected nature you will be able to trace Jaguars in the area of Rio Cuiabá, Rio TresIrmãos, Rio São Lourenço and Rio Piquiri. Lunch in form of a picnic (lunch box). Return to the lodge in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at the Pousada.

On your demand a sunrise tour afoot is being conducted around 4:30 a.m. Breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast you can take a canoe tour or a horseback riding tour on your demand and in agreement with our tour guides. Lunch at the lodge. In the late afternoon you take a ride alongside the Transpantaneira to trace mammals and birds. Return to the lodge and dinner.

Depending on your departure time you can again take a horseback riding tour or a bike tour on the Transpantaneira. Transfer to the airport.
