The city of Chapada is located 70 km north of Cuiabá and has about 16,000 inhabitants. Chapada dos Guimarães is a rocky plateau at 836 meters altitude. Canyons, mesas, caves, rivers and waterfalls are part of this stunning landscape. After the Amazon region in the north of the state of Mato Grosso and the Pantanal, the Chapada is the third ecosystem in this region, which is unique in the world.
