PAC -Tour 4: Pantanal from / to Cuiabá - 5 days / 4 nights - All year round
02 nights – Pousada Rio Claro – 02 nights Pousada Piuval
From the airport we drive to Poconé (100 km). Subsequently we travel alongside the well knownTranspantaneira to the Pousada . In this section of the gravel road we are able to encounter lots of animals such as Caimans, Capivaras, Storks and many more. After arrival at the lodge, lunch will be served (depending on the arrival time at the airport). Short break. In the late afternoon we take a hiking tour afoot. Dinner at the lodge.
Before breakfast we take an early tour and with a little luck we are able to observe nocturnal animals and birds. After breakfast we take a horseback riding tour (also adequate for persons with no riding experience!). Lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon a boat tour on the nearby Rio Nova or Rio Claro is being conducted. With a little luck we see a family of Giant Otter and many birds. Dinner at the lodge. On demand a night safari takes places after dinner to trace nocturnal animals.
Sunrise tour at 6 am. Breakfast in the lodge. In the morning, if you wish, you can go on a horseback ride, a canoe trip or a short walk / hike in the nearby Galeriewald. Lunch at Estancia Rio Claro. After lunch drive to Pousada Piuval. In the afternoon (depending on the arrival time) you can do a small canoe tour (paddling) on the nearby Lake Piuval or a short walk in the nearby gallery forest, where you can meet a lot, birds and with a little luck also mammals. After dinner on request night safari to detect nocturnal animals.
The next morning, around 5 o’clock getting up for the sunrise tour. Experience the awakening of birdlife and wildlife in the Pantanal.A unique experience that you should not miss.After breakfast, take an extensive horseback ride on the grounds of the lodge.
Depending on your departure time you can again take a horseback riding tour or a bike tour on the Transpantaneira. Transfer to the airport.
With groups of 11 persons, one person is free. Children up to 5 years are free of charge when accommodated in the parent’s room. Children from 6 to 10 years get a discount of 50 %. For children from 10 years on the complete adult rate is charged.

- Transfer in/out Cuiabá in simple vehicles, we use a VAN for groups of 5 persons and more.

Not included:
- Beverages, possible tips, personal expenses, further optional excursions, and full day tour by boat for jaguar-spotting.
Optional Jaguar safari – Full day tour (only from Juni to November)
You get up around 4:00 a.m. We serve you coffee or tea. Subsequently you travel to Porto Jofre, the end of the Transpantaneira, on an approx. 107 km non asphaltic road. On the way to Porto Jofre you have the possibility to encounter many mammalsad birds. We will have breakfast in form of a picnic. After the picnic we start on a 5 hour boat tour (simple boats) deeply into the Cerrado. Amidst unaffected nature you will be able to trace Jaguars in the area of Rio Cuiabá, Rio TresIrmãos, Rio São Lourenço and Rio Piquiri. Lunch in form of a picnic (lunch box). Return to the lodge in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at the Pousada.
